How to Canvass Voters — The 8-Step Process

Follow these 8 simple steps to canvass a voter using SureWin.

What is the 8-Step Workflow?

When you visit a voter, SureWin guides you through 8 simple steps. Each step collects important information about the voter. This helps your campaign understand exactly what voters think and what they need.

Step 1: Select a Voter

First, choose which voter you want to visit from your assigned list.

  1. Open SureWin and click রাজনৈতিক ক্যানভাস (Political Canvas) from the bottom menu.
  2. You will see a list of voters assigned to you.
  3. Use the search box to find a specific voter, or browse the list.
  4. Tap the radio button next to the voter you want to visit.
  5. Tap চালিয়ে যান (Continue).

Step 2: Record Political Preference

Ask the voter which political party they support and record their answer.

  1. You will see a list of political parties.
  2. Tap the checkbox next to the party the voter supports.
  3. Tap চালিয়ে যান (Continue) to go to the next step.

Step 3: Record Support Level

Record how strongly the voter supports or opposes your candidate.

  1. Select the voter's support level (Strong Supporter, Medium Supporter, Undecided, Medium Oppose, Strong Oppose).
  2. Select their likelihood to vote (High, Medium, Low).
  3. Select their influence level (General, Local Leader, Teacher, etc.).
  4. Select their economic status (Low, Middle, High, etc.).
  5. Tap চালিয়ে যান (Continue).

Record how strongly the voter supports your candidate

Step 4: Record Key Issues

Ask the voter what problems they care about most and record them.

  1. Select the issue category (e.g., Roads, Water, Electricity, Employment).
  2. Write a short title for the issue.
  3. Write a description with more details.
  4. Select the priority (Low, Medium, High).
  5. Tap চালিয়ে যান (Continue).

Record which past elections the voter participated in.

  1. Check the boxes for past elections the voter participated in.
  2. Add any notes if needed.
  3. Tap চালিয়ে যান (Continue).

Step 6: Record House Head Information

Record who is the head of the voter's household and their contact information.

  1. Enter the house head's name.
  2. Enter their contact number.
  3. Check which social media platforms they use (Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.).
  4. Tap চালিয়ে যান (Continue).

Step 7: Record Engagement & Schedule Follow-up

Record what type of engagement you had and when to visit again.

  1. Select the engagement type (e.g., Door-to-door, Yard Meeting, Phone Call).
  2. Select a follow-up date — when should you visit again?
  3. Tap চালিয়ে যান (Continue).

Record the engagement type and schedule a follow-up visit

Step 8: Take Photo & Add Note (Final Step)

Take a photo as proof of your visit and add a final note.

  1. Allow SureWin to access your location (GPS).
  2. Tap ছবি তুলুন (Take Photo) to take a photo of the voter's house.
  3. Write a note about your visit (e.g., 'Voter is very supportive, promised to vote').
  4. Tap শেষ করুন (Finish).
After Finishing

After you complete all 8 steps, the voter is marked as 'visited' and you will be taken back to the voter list. The data you collected is sent to the campaign manager automatically (if you have internet) or will be sent when you get internet connection.
