Location Permission (Required)

Why Location Permission is Required

SureWin uses your device's GPS location to verify that you are physically present in your assigned canvassing area. This is a security measure to prevent fraudulent data entry from outside the field. Without location permission, the app cannot:

• Load your assigned voter list
• Allow you to start the canvassing workflow
• Submit canvassing data to the server
• Display your assigned area on the dashboard

The Location Prompt

When you log in for the first time, you will see this prompt on the dashboard:

The prompt says লোকেশন প্রয়োজন (Location Required) with a button লোকেশন চালু করুন (Enable Location).

How to Enable Location

On Chrome (Android)

1. Tap লোকেশন চালু করুন (Enable Location).
2. A browser popup will appear asking for location permission.
3. Tap Allow.
4. The page will reload and the prompt will disappear.
5. Your assigned voter list will now load.

On Safari (iPhone/iPad)

1. Tap লোকেশন চালু করুন (Enable Location).
2. A browser popup will appear asking for location permission.
3. Tap Allow Once or Allow While Using App.
4. The page will reload and the prompt will disappear.

On Chrome (Desktop)

1. Click লোকেশন চালু করুন (Enable Location).
2. A browser popup will appear in the top-left corner of the address bar.
3. Click Allow.
4. The page will reload and the prompt will disappear.

What Happens if You Deny Location

If you accidentally deny location permission:

1. The dashboard will continue to show the লোকেশন প্রয়োজন prompt.
2. You cannot access the canvassing, followup, tasks, or events pages.
3. Clicking the লোকেশন চালু করুন button will not produce a popup (because you already denied).

To fix this, you need to reset the location permission in your browser settings:

Reset Permission in Chrome (Android)

1. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of Chrome.
2. Go to Settings › Site Settings.
3. Tap Location.
4. Find surewin.gulshansync.com in the list.
5. Tap it and select Allow.
6. Return to SureWin and reload the page.

Reset Permission in Safari (iPhone)

1. Open the iPhone Settings app (not Safari settings).
2. Go to Privacy & Security › Location Services.
3. Find Safari Websites in the list.
4. Tap it and select While Using the App.
5. Return to SureWin and reload the page.

Reset Permission in Chrome (Desktop)

1. Click the lock icon (or info icon) in the address bar next to surewin.gulshansync.com.
2. Find Location in the permissions list.
3. Change it from Block to Allow.
4. Reload the page.
