What is a House Head?
A house head is the primary contact person for a household. In Bangladeshi culture, this is typically the eldest male or female of the family. House heads are recorded during canvassing because:
- They are the primary decision-maker for the household's voting choice.
- They can speak for absent family members.
- They are the point of contact for follow-up visits.
How House Heads are Recorded
During the SureWin canvassing workflow, Step 6 — House Head, the volunteer records whether the voter they are speaking to is the house head. If not, they record who the house head is (by name and relation).
