Opening Polling Stations

From the left sidebar, click Voters › Polling Stations or navigate to /pollingstations.

What is a Polling Station?

A polling station is the physical location where voters cast their ballots. Each polling station has:

• Number — unique identifier (1, 2, 3, ...)
• Name — usually the building name (school, community center)
• Address — full address
• Ward — which electoral ward it belongs to
• Capacity — maximum voters assigned to this station
• Assigned staff — presiding officer, assistants

Adding a New Polling Station

1. Click the + Add New button at the top right.
2. Enter the polling station number.
3. Enter the name (usually the building name).
4. Select the ward from the dropdown.
5. Enter the full address.
6. Enter the capacity (number of voters this station can handle).
7. Click Save.

Editing a Polling Station

Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to any polling station to update its details. Click Save to apply changes.
