Opening Key Issues
From the left sidebar, click Voters › Key Issues or navigate to /key_issues. This page lists every issue raised by voters during door-to-door canvassing.
Issue Categories
Issues are grouped into categories for easier analysis:
- Infrastructure — roads, bridges, drainage, streetlights
- Utilities — water, electricity, gas, internet
- Healthcare — hospitals, clinics, medicine access
- Education — schools, teachers, scholarships
- Safety — crime, policing, harassment
- Employment — jobs, training, unemployment
- Other — anything not fitting the above
How Issues Get Recorded
Issues are captured by volunteers in Step 4 of the SureWin canvassing workflow. A volunteer can record multiple issues per voter, with notes describing each issue in detail.
Using the Issues Data
The Key Issues page lets you:
- Filter by category, ward, or date range
- See which issues are most common in each area
- Prioritize which issues to address first in campaign messaging
- Track resolution status (open / in progress / resolved)
